If I had the knowledge (in high school) I have now after reading Play College Golf: The Secrets of College Golf Recruiting I believe that I could have had many more offers from other top universities. Travis has really exposed exactly how college golf recruiting works. As a former college golfer I completely agree with his main points. The topics that I feel are most important are 1. Understanding that YOU need to be proactive with your own recruiting 2. There are thousands of universities and colleges with spots to fill(on their golf team), just because you are not highly recruited by numerous Div 1 colleges does not mean you can’t play college golf. There are many paths to take and being proactive will open up opportunities. 3. Coaches want to hear from you (not parents or recruiting services). Learn how to separate yourself from the crowed.
The key points in this book are crucial to achieving your goal of getting a scholarship to play college golf. You will be at a serious disadvantage if you do not understand how college golf recruiting works, this book is the answer. ![]()
